Orlando, USA - Members of the Partnership for Peace Consortium took part in the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC), held Nov. 27 - Dec. 1, 2023 in Orlando, Florida. I/ITSEC is known as the world's largest modeling, simulation and training event.
The Co-Chairs of the Partnership for Peace Consortium's Advanced Distributed Learning Working Group, Dr. Aaron Presnall of the Jefferson Institute, and COL Steven Banks of NATO ACT, also participated. Dr. Presnall moderated a signature event with the Topic: “Train while you fight: Ukraine as a touchstone for training in future wars.”
The conference featured a panel discussion with #GCMC’s German Deputy Director and Chairman of the PfPC retired Brig. Gen. Rolf Wagner, who said, “The situation in Ukraine has highlighted a critical aspect: it's not just about how we fight, but also about how we train while we fight.” This work is featured in PfP Consortium’s efforts in Advanced Distributed Learning, the Strategic Leadership Program, and the Defense Education Enhancement Program and helps to maintain collective operational readiness through agile defense education and training capabilities.
