The Southern Caucasus has always been an area of concern for Euro-Atlantic Security. The decision has been taken to build upon the legacy of previous PfP C study groups focusing on the wider region to focus exclusively on the South Caucasus. Embedded in the wider academic framework of both the PfP Consortium as well as the security-political research in the Austrian Ministry of Defence and Sports, the group's main focus is to identify drivers of tension and propose possible solutions to local authorities and international actors alike.
