Connections Editorial Board Expands Global Security Focus in Annual Workshop

Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany – The Partnership for Peace Consortium successfully convened its Annual Editorial Board Meeting for the quarterly academic journal Connections at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany from 29-30 July, 2024. The Editorial Board members discussed current and future issues pertinent to the journal and evaluated contributions and identify areas for further development, as well as confirming the increased cooperation with the George C. Marshall Center for International Security Studies, exploring avenues for enhanced cooperative efforts. In his opening remarks, Connections Editor-in-Chief Dr. Sean Costigan highlighted the journal's reputation and the success of its publications. Connections is ranked by Scopus in Q2 among the top 25-50 percent of journals in the categories of Law and Political Science and International Relations.

A highlight of the meeting was the nomination of Dr. Namrata Goswami from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University to the Editorial Board. Dr. Sean Costigan welcomed her to the editorial board. “We are pleased to welcome Dr. Goswami to our team. Her invaluable expertise will enhance our focus on future topics and extend our reach into the Indo-Pacific region, thereby strengthening our editorial capabilities.”

Discussions also centered on redesigning Connections to improve accessibility and developing strategies for promoting the journal, ensuring that research findings reach a wider audience.
