Sofia, Bulgaria - At a conference commemorating the 20th anniversary of Bulgaria's NATO membership in Sofia on April 4th, retired Brigadier General Rolf Wagner, Chairman of the PfPC Senior Advisory Committee, accompanied by four PfPC working and study group leads, led a panel discussion about the continued importance of the Consortium. The event opened with panel discussions highlighting the significant contributions of the Consortium in training, education, and interoperability, facilitating the integration of partner nations into NATO structures.
Panelists emphasized the pivotal role of the Consortium in fostering partnerships and networks, underscoring its uniqueness in establishing collaborative frameworks. The conference also marked the commencement of a series of events honoring the 25th anniversary of the PfPC. Through shared insights and reflections, attendees gained a comprehensive understanding of the consortiums' enduring impact and its ongoing commitment to advancing international security cooperation.
Members and friends of the PfPC will be attending the The 53rd NATO Conference of Commandants (CoC), hosted by the U.S. National Defense University in Washington D.C. in May 2024. The official 25th anniversary celebration will take place at the NATO Defence Minister meeting in Brussels in June, where the ministers of every PfPC stakeholder country will sign a document re-affirming their belief in the importance of the PfPC.
