The Irregular Warfare and Hybrid Threats Working Group (IWHTWG) will hold their first workshop of 2025 in Helsinki, Finland.
The Irregular Warfare and Hybrid Threats Working Group (IWHTWG) enhances international security by establishing a recognized body of irregular warfare (IW) and hybrid threats (HT) experts to better understand international, regional, and domestic IW threats; to educate future leaders who will have responsibilities to confront such threats; and to provide policy analysis and advice to nations dealing with the current and future IW environment. The group’s interdisciplinary and multinational membership, consisting of international security experts, seasoned IW practitioners, and scholars and researchers from more than two dozen countries across Europe, Eurasia, and North America, is unique in the IW professional military education (PME) communities. This working group offers tailored, cutting-edge analysis and relevant policy recommendations on current and emerging international security problems, including strategic competition, threat finance, disruptive technologies, cognitive warfare, and the role of conventional forces and law enforcement in the irregular warfare space.
